One week ago I decided to ditch social media. I must confess, this is not the first time I am trying to achieve absolute social media detox. However, this time, I will write about the whole journey so as to keep it documented. Hopefully it helps. I also thought about making videos talking about the journey, but honestly I never was a camera person, talking in front of a camera or a public gets me very, very overwhelmed.

The main reason I decided to ditch social media is because of how hooked I am to it, my whole life is based on memes, stories and the content I consume in social media. I don't know if I achieved the so called 'brainrot' but my brain is definitely smoked to some extent. I can't focus on my work, I can't seem to be improving on anything...

Getting off social media is scary as well, the other times I've tried it I found myself unbearably missing other people, wanting to know what they were doing with their lives and what fun memes they posted. Something I always wondered was, why don't I just text them? The answer was, of course, I didn't want to come off as weird. Because it is weird. It's becoming an addiction, and I despise it. Welcome to my journey then. I will regularly post about my feelings and what I've been doing, hope you like it, reader.
